Why come to the Women’s Retreat?

To get away…

from the stresses and distraction of a busy life and from the routine of the ordinary.

To laugh…

with other women of God, in a community where even if you come knowing no one, by the end of the weekend you leave with a whole new group of sisters.

To recharge…

in a place filled with peace and beauty, allowing you to hear the still small voice of God and to take intentional time to remember who you are in Him.

To be…

Loved. Encouraged. Challenged. Refreshed. Filled. Known. Accepted. Appreciated. Strengthened. Changed.

Because it will be one of the best weekends of your life.

RETREAT THEME:

Do you parlay “pause” to your advantage or feel guilty if you slow down? Is your “carrot” the reward and rush as others notice how productive and busy you are? That’s not all bad, but it can be oh so much better! Life that is, love that is, when you pause rightly! Phyllis shares how to: pause to catch your breath, pause to catch your balance, and pause to catch a peek at God’s plan for the only You there will ever be!

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:

Phyllis Wallace, a freelance writer and broadcaster, hosted the “Woman to Woman” radio show which aired on 400 stations, 65% of which were secular. Phyllis and the “experts” took on women’s health, performance and relationships from a Biblical perspective.

Her past work and efforts include working in a Boys Medium Security Lockup in Grafton, IL, working as a Middle School Counselor, leading a Women’s Bible Study for a decade for 100 women from 14 different churches in her home congregation of Good Shepherd in Collinsville, IL, and facilitating 20 annual Women’s Retreats at Camp Arcadia, MI.

She and her husband Richard enjoy four children and nine grandchildren. All of this brings her voluntarily, or involuntarily, to learn about God’s gift of “Pause!”
